Yeah i've been absent from this thing for far too long. I've just been busy as hell with summer classes. Between reading books and writing papers about WWII and South Africa I just do not feel the urge write on this thing till now.... I should actually be typing up this discussion paper due tomorrow.

I just have to update yall on some crazy stories.

Twos Top Five: Why I hate BET

I hate BET with a passion and here's why..

1. There is no original content. Everything on BET is something that was on it's biracial cousin MTV. Everything on BET is the "Black" version of something that was on MTV. (It should be noted that I also hate MTV.)



2. None of the programming on BET is of any substance. If it's going to be Black Entertainment Television it should have more then music videos.



3. What also makes the crappy shows worse is that they are replayed at least twice a day. The networks flagship 106 & Park is on at least twice a day. Any award show is played a lot which can get annoying.



4. BET works very hard at promoting stereotypes that are harmful to viewers especially those within the Black community considering there are few other outlets for mainly Black audiences.



5. BET has a highly advertised "Blackbuster Theatre" series. In this series they play Black movies. That in itself isn't that horrible, its actually commendable...but they play the worst movie ever and advertise it as such. I'm talking about none other then Soul Plane. This is the worst movie ever made, ever.

These are the reasons why BET is horrible. Feel free to add any reasons you can think of. Or if your truly demented why you disagree.
